After waiting for weeks, I finally got it. I’m going to be working for MTV Asia for my internship next year!! yay!
Well, MTV wasn’t my first choice, but hey, one offer out of 3 interviews is better than none. At least I got one of my choices and escaped Phase 2 and its stupid random computer selection.
No idea what show I’ll end up working on. Most probably will end up doing a lot of studio work rather than on-location shoots.
There were many reasons I wasn’t too thrilled with MTV Asia after the interview. Maybe the job didn’t seem as wide a range as it sounded on the description list we had earlier on. And a big corporation like this one will usually mean that it’s well-staffed and hence I might not learn as much as I might have with a smaller company that would teach me everything so that I do as much as everyone else in the office. But well, it is still a nice place I guess. Their office is pretty funky, and it feels laid back and relaxed. Plus, MTV is a big name, so it’s probably a good place to start networking for future. And there’s actually a pool table in the office!
So, yeah, it’s not my first choice, but it isn’t all that bad either.
6 months there should turn out to be quite exciting!
Though, the only thing I’d be dreading would be the travelling from campus to Orchard Road daily. 0_o Ghastly.
