Mid-Autumn festival has just ended yesterday. And here I am now, finally willing to cut up that piggy mooncake to eat at last.
My darling got it for me (I’m a little piggy too) from one of the chinese restaurants in 1Utama. And that was one week ago. It’s been sitting on my table looking so adorable I couldn’t bring myself to eat it.
I mean, just look at it! So0o cute and chubby!
But I figured it’ll soon get spots on its face when the mold starts growing. So I better eat it before it becomes ugly.
Happy belated Mid-Autumn Festival! oink oink!
p/s: there’s always been all these ‘zhue zai peng’ (piggy biscuit in cantonese) selling in the market every mid-autumn, but they never sold the pig-shaped ones. Always the fish-shaped ones only, in a cheap plastic basket. I always wondered why the heck are they called ‘zhue zai’ when it’s clearly a fish. Now finally everyone is selling the pig-shaped ones.
