I finally went ahead with getting a new hair-do without caring how bad it might turn out. Figured that I could just lop them off after a while if things get disasterous. smiley

Went to Kimarie in SS2 and did a perm (called the H2O perm or something, suppose to give me more natural big curls). The hairstylist was a very friendly girl, much nicer than the previous few I had. She layered my hair so that I won’t end up with a head of exploded hair, and then spent 3 hours making my hair curl. I didn’t dare curl from the roots for fear of a fashion disaster. Only have them halfway down, and the end result was actually quite nice.

I’m not quite used to this new ‘look’ yet. I guess it’s just a bit strange ’cause I’ve always had semi-straight hair. Just hope it doesn’t become too unruly or explodes. My hair has the tendency to do funny things. And suddenly I realised I don’t quite need that special hair brush i bought at Body Shop a while ago to tame my unruly tresses.

Of course, without fail, the hairstylist Esther remarked that I had a very thick head of hair. Everytime I go and get a hair cut, I get that remark. Every. Single. Time. I know they are all secretly going “omg, this isn’t going to be easy” when they say that. smiley Especially when I’m there for more than just a hair cut.

Halfway through while sitting there and waiting for my hair to soften before curling, a few tall pretty leggy caucasian girls came in. Turns out the airlines send some of their flight attendents here on Fridays to get their hair done and learn how to tie their hair and stuff like that. They looked like they were having fun, singing to some pop tune on the radio while twisting their hair into perfect buns. Probably ’cause they don’t have to pay for all that hair pampering themselves. smiley I’m jealous.

Maybe it’s too early to tell yet (if anything wrong is going to happen to my hair), but I think I like this little change.
Refreshing.
