Got to give myself some self-encouragement and and tune the enthusiasm level a few notches up– I’m going to learn how to use Flash on my own!

Rah rah rah! *waves pom-poms*

I’m pretty lazy when it comes to all these self-learning. Was never really one to pick up how-to books and learn something from scratch on my own, ’cause I’m just such a lazy bum. But I guess some things have to change. Which is why I have got to psyche myself up and make sure I keep up the enthusiasm for learning Flash.

Plus, my “tutor” — the book I’m learning from: Foundation - Macromedia Flash MX 2004 by Besley, K. & Bhangal S. — is a gift from him. So I better make sure I make good use of the book before he comes and whacks my head with it. smiley

And it’d be cool at the end of it when I can create funky flash animations and websites. Which is why I have to make sure I complete this. smiley

On a totally unrelated note: French lyrics can be so silly yet fun.

Walked into my French class last Friday and music was blaring at one corner of the classroom. I thought we were gonna have a party or something (that’d be cool). Turns out my french tutor Emmanuelle was just trying to get us to learn french through music. That was fun, and plus, she listens to Anggun too! Well, the french songs at least.. smiley

Today, she gave us lyrics to the song Suzette by Dany Brillant. The tune is really cute and silly. It was fun trying to work out what he was singing about.

It’s a love song that started with “I met her/ in one of these parties/ I couldn’t even look at her/ her eyes were burning me so much.”

And other stuff like: “only one of her kisses/ is enough to set on fire/ the heart of humanity/ or the guys in my neighbourhood”. Haha.

Or “Over a cup of coffee/ on one of the quays on the Seine River/ In the cold of the gloomy morning/ one day I will tell her that I love her”.

Sounds so0o cheesy when translated to English. smiley Almost like one of those sugar-candy sweet pop crap on radio. But in french, it just sounds a whole lot better and made it cute. Or even romantic, if you can excuse the sillyness.

Wheee… and now that we’ve learnt past tense, we have been upgraded from a 5-year-old language ability to that of a 7-year-old. smiley
