Yep.. went around to several showrooms to check out the new KIA Picanto with auyong and his mom yesterday afternoon.

Nope. I’m not getting a car, not me, not anytime soon. I wish though. Nope. It’s my darling who has his eyes on the cute Picanto. (gosh it’s so cute, even its name sounds like Pikachu. not that I particularly like Pikachu lah. But cute all the same.)

Kia Picanto

Anyhow, it was real dumb ’cause most of the showrooms we went to didn’t have anymore Picanto showroom units. bleah. So we couldn’t test drive the car. But we managed to check out a customer’s car in the Old Klang Road’s KIA branch. It was a blue one. No orange ones there. Damn. Orange’s better. (heck, subconsciously, i actually wore my only orange top out to car-hunt. haha.)

Since I’m not an expert on cars (ok, fine. I know nothing about cars, I can’t even drive them well), I am only going to gush about its aesthetic appeal. heehee. But seriously, it’s real cute, especially in orange! And the front of the car has this black thingy (yes, I’m sure it’s not called a ‘thingy’ but I don’t quite care right now) that makes it look all the cuter, like a lil’ cutesy animal.

[*ding!* brain wave: they should make a mini plush toy version of the car!! it’d be a cool marketing gimmick! =D]

Ok, I’ll stop all this nonsense ’cause I’m at risk of sounding like a bimbo. XD

But what’s surprising was that there’s a 12-month waiting list for the car! urgh.. :s ONE year to wait till you get the car you said you bought?!?! gosh.. And what’s worse is, it appears that many of these people made their bookings without even going for a test drive with the car!! I mean, how can you decide if you haven’t tried it out?!?!

That, just completely baffles me.

But it was fun, car-hunting and all. Didn’t get to do this the other time when my dad bought his Naza Ria (’cause it was semester time and I was 300km away, and till today, I still don’t get to drive that MPV!) Hmm, hehe, can’t wait when I get to shop for my own car, weeeeell, in like, MANY more years to come…

But first, finish off my 2 and half years of uni, 3 more years of work in Singapore, then head back to KL to buy cheaper cars! wahahahahaha!

=)
